So school is kicking my ass (I hate November) and I'd like to kick my program coordinator's ass... for the second year in a year he's messed up my practicum and therefore my life come April... He finally checked back with KCA after no news for two months and told me sorry no can do and because he's waited so damn long I now can't get a practicum in Kimberley... so it looks like I'll be driving to Creston or possibly Fernie every day back and forth in 7 weeks in the spring and one week this December...

But on a happier note... my new down duvet will cost about $200 and hey every duvet cover that we actually like costs about the same... how the hell does that make sense...

crap I'm so pissed off... at least Sheilah said I don't have to teach today... because I think I'd probably start crying during my lesson...

God I wish my uterus didn't make me so hormonal and cranky, but hey at least I'm not pregnant...

i just realized that i've been putting the shells back into the pumpkin seeds... gross... oh well i'm the only one who eats them... but still gross!!

I carved my pumpkin last night when blair was at practice and toasted my own seeds, store bought ones are SO much better than these, c'est la vie...

my parents and the girl are coming this afternoon and leaving tomorrow... dropping off furniture and more dishes and a very important book, so that I can write my history paper when they... can't write a text book comparison when one if the books is in Nelson... I knew there was a reason i "borrowed" that english reader in grade 8... just took me like 8 years to find out why!!

I also have to write a paper on our pe child observations from last week... I liked the grade 3 class the best, grade one class was ok, and the grade six class intimidated me... way better basketball skills than most of us and we were supposed to be helping them and giving them pointers... i really don't think I want to teach grade 6, but I guess I'll find that out for sure on nov 22nd, because I'll be teaching a group of them a 3 hour language arts lesson created by me, myself and the internet... woo hoo...

hookay back to laundry, paper procrastination and well... waiting for gilmore girls epis 505 + 506 to download so that I can catch up... damn not having cable... or decent peasent vision...

Please do me a favour if you have the time...

tell me everything you can remember about your elementary school music education... can be outside of school also but should be within the elementary years... and how has this affected your views of music (what attitudes about music did your teachers pass on to you?)
was music used to enhance other learning (learning the alphabet, numbers, another language)?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

I have a paper due on the 22nd (friday) that I have put off for way too long...
and I need to get cracking!!!

here's what I've been up to in no particular order:

-tore up floor in front porch down to the joist to make tiling easier... didn't help, still not ready to tile
-went to lethbridge, to see hana, bought new jeans and a cute green sweater
-went to nelson and worked on the scrapbook with my mom
-just made macaroni and cheese with no dairy or wheat... hopefully it tastes ok...
-wrote my english and history papers
-need to write my music, 2nd history, 2nd english, language arts and pe papers now...
-cut out lots of frogs, golden balls, a prince and a princess for my story boxes for my language arts class... i'm teaching a small group of grade 3 students "the frog prince" and "the frog prince, continued" and how to make their own story box on monday morning for three hours... then i have to write a 2000 word essay on it and plan an independent activiy aswell...
-observed a grade one and a grade three pe class... my grade one student, was awesome... but never listened or stayed on task... we have one more observation to do and then we have to write a 2000 word paper on it... sense a trend...
-blair's been working call this past week... so this pay cheque will be about $400 fatter and same with next weeks... which is great... because we have to reroof our laundry room and get 3 or 4 tress taken down so we can have firewood (and no more dead trees)...
-our dryer quit working on wedenday night, so i got to spend the evening at the laundromat doing homework... and now we need to buy a new dryer... oh goody... as soon as we start getting some savings in the bank... *poof* it all disappears...
-made peach bread... it was really good
-tonight is the year five pub crawl... i'm really glad i decided not to buy a ticket because... well... i have to much homeowrk to do and not enough time to do it in as is... i don't need a hangoer on top of the stress pile!!
-rearranged our bedroom furniture a bit... now all my clothes are on the bed, and I don't feel like doing anything about it...
-hopefully we'll finish our closet this weekend... or at least work on it a bit more...
-sorry dayl no new pictures yet... i still haven't installed the software on this computer (borrowed since we don't have money to buy a new one yet...) but here are some "old" ones...... wow we've done so much stuff to the house and the pictures on the computer really don't reflect the changes... so it'll take a little while longer

Yah... tuition is paid... all my books have been bought...
we're going to Lethbridge tomorrow night to see Hanna for her birthday and to finally spend our gift certificates at Sears... we're getting boring stuff, but we have decided that we both need a new pair of jeans... most of my jeans are over 2 years old... so out with the old and in with the new... Sears is having a big sale...

Kim, any bigs sales on at your work?
